Il progetto della sede Levi-Montalcini Foundation, porta la firma del famoso architetto Italiano Giancarlo Zema, noto a livello internazionale per i suoi progetti eco sostenibili e di grande impatto formale ed emotivo. L’idea alla base del progetto è ispirata dal forte parallelismo che esiste tra la struttura del sistema nervoso umano e il sistema radicale delle piante. L’architettura iconica rende omaggio al lavoro di ricerca della Prof.ssa Rita Levi-Montalcini che l’ha condotta alla scoperta del fattore di accrescimento della fibra nervosa (NGF) e ai lavori artistici dei suoi fratelli, fondamentali per lo sviluppo della sua incredibile intuizione e visione creativa.
The project of the Levi-Montalcini Foundation headquarter, bears the signature of the famous Italian architect Giancarlo Zema, known internationally for his eco-sustainable projects of great formal and emotional impact. The idea behind the project is inspired by the strong parallelism that exists between the structure of the human nervous system and the root system of plants. The iconic architecture pays tribute to the research work of Prof. Rita Levi-Montalcini which led her to the discovery of nerve growth factor (NGF) and to the artistic works of her brothers, fundamental for the development of her incredible intuition and creative vision.
